Trailer for Pixar’s new Brave

While Cars 2 is getting mediocre reviews in theaters, Pixar is showing off their next big production “Brave” with a new trailer.

The film is set in the Highlands of Scotland and the trailer opens up with some stunning flybys of the mountains and lochs, before showing us some more moody, ground-level, shots, all accompanied by a voiceover in an Scottish accent intoning what being “brave” means. Eventually we are shown the heroine of the tale: Merida, a princess who eschews her Royal parentage to pursue her dream of becoming an archer. There’s some more fabulous animation work in her curly red hair (surely more tangled than Tangled) and that of her horse – head over to stichkingdom.com for a gorgeous hi-res shot of Merida’s hair.

Expected to hit theaters next Summer (2012).

toy-story-3Pixar’s latest smash hit Toy Story 3 now has a trailer available over on Yahoo Movies.  Go check it out and see what lies in store for our intrepid heroes.

I find it amazing to realize that Toy Story 1 had no human faces because Pixar couldn’t realistically reproduct them, but it seem this movie is full of them.

James Cameron’s Avatar movie trailer online

avatar-posterI’m sure you’ve already heard, but James Cameron’s new epic “Avatar” finally has a trailer online at the Apple website.

AVATAR takes us to a spectacular new world beyond our imagination, where a reluctant hero embarks on a journey of redemption and discovery, as he leads a heroic battle to save a civilization. The film was first conceived by Cameron 14 years ago, when the means to realize his vision did not yet exist. Now, after four years of actual production work, AVATAR delivers a fully immersive cinematic experience of a new kind, where the revolutionary technology invented to make the film, disappears into the emotion of the characters and the sweep of the story.

Watch the trailer, then come back and tell us what you think.
