Continuing our series about the Environment, today we’ll be focusing on transportation, starting with Well Home‘s energy efficiency of movement and with the state of telecommuting in the U.S, provided by The Energy Collective. Crips Green brings in the Light Rail transportation for dummies infographic, and to close, a couple of visual representations of the Electric Cars, from Coda Automative and Green Liter.
As far as our ability to improve the Environment, there’s nothing like starting in our homes. One of the main things we should all do to help the Environment is to maximize the Reuse of things. The folks at Green is Universal made a great infographic explaining the importance of reuse, and Reuse This Bag, as well as The Washington Post, take on the problem of plastic bags – something we all use on a constant basis. The question of better package design is analyzed by supply chain firm ModusLink, and Cindy Jones-Hulfachor looks at the problems with landfills, taking the example of what’s happening in Palm Beach and Broward counties.
If you follow our Daily Viz from Visual Loop, you probably noticed that we’ve been picking up a weekly topic to bring some infographics about, and this week we’ll be covering several environmental issues – after all, yesterday was the World Environment Day. So, to start this Monday’s selection, a couple of infographics from Graphic.is, about the top CO2 emitters and the World’s forests. Also with its place guaranteed in the revolutionary companies pantheon, Skype’s history is analyzed by Online MBA, and, speaking of history, Mindflash and Retail Me Not help us to know a bit more about some of the tech moguls, and their path to fame and money.
