A beta of the 3DCoat modeling program for Linux is now available for download. It currently only works on 64-bit systems, but a 32-bit version is expected soon.

3D-Coat, who have just recently released their v3.0 Release Candidate,have updated their website with video tutorials explaining how to use the product. If you’re not familiar with what voxel sculpting is, it’s a great resource for seeing it in use and getting a glimpse of the power of the technology.

3D coat has finally, after several alpha builds, reached Release Candidate status and is available for download. 3D-Coat is a volumetric sculpting tool that uses NVidia’s CUDA technology for acceleration. Available for both Mac and Windows, it’s a great tool similar to Z-Brush.
