Dave Gray, well-known visual thinker and author, demonstrates an easy and fun exercise in visual thinking, especially helpful for anyone who says they can’t draw.

Dave (@davegray) shared this through Slideshare, and credits his friend Chris Glynn, “a fine teacher who teaches fine things” with this visual thinking activity.

Notice he just adds a few triangles (for beak and tail), dots for eyes, and a few lines for feet. The viewer’s mind does all the rest to make birds out of squiggles.
