We See Breakthroughs NineSigmalogoNineSigma, on behalf of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, is seeking Subject Matter Experts in Healthcare, Medical Devices, and other related fields to take part in a Beta Stage Technology Assessment & Ideation Contest involving a number of exciting new patented and patent-pending technologies.

NineSigma’s clients have identified the need to develop new end user and product applications for their breakthrough Healthcare Technologies with a view towards ultimately licensing such technologies to third parties. All of these technologies are the result of significant investment and research by the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. To enable new applications, NineSigma is recruiting Experts from across the industry to take part in a three-part ideation program for the assessment, proposal, and/or transfer of novel technology applications.

Interested parties can visit the Healthcare Technology Ideation page for more information about the program, technologies, and incentives. The opportunities currently available include the following:

•    Experts for Technology Review & Assessment – Participants in this Group will be selected to review, judge, and rank the existing list of technologies supplied by the clients. This is a closed group. NineSigma will vet and select only the top 25 respondents to participate. Participants will be compensated for their efforts.
•    Technology Ideation Proposals – Submit a non-confidential proposal for adaptations of the existing technologies for applications both within and across industry. Top ranked submissions will receive monetary awards for their proposals. These submissions may lead to further technology developments and opportunities in conjunction with the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center’s R&D teams. This is an open group. All participants are welcome.
•    Experts for Technology Transfer & Commercialization – Participants in this Group will have the opportunity to promote a vetted list of technologies from the Ideation Process to their own clients. Successful transfer or license-brokering will receive due consideration in the form of finder’s fees, commissions, or royalties as applicable. This is a closed group. NineSigma will vet and select only participants with verifiable expertise in this field. As part of the process all Experts will discuss appropriate compensation arrangements directly with the clients.

The Beta period is expected to launch in March 2014 with the initial round of Expert Technology Review. The Proposal Submission process will initiate a few weeks thereafter with the clients independently selecting top submissions for further consideration or development opportunities. Viable outcomes resulting from this effort will be made available to the appropriate Group members for potential licensing or commercial transfer. Throughout this process, NineSigma will seek active feedback from all participants in order to improve the quality of this service.

To respond to this Request, please register with NineSigma (www.NineSights.com/login.jspa) and create a user profile. Following registration, visit the Technology Assessment & Ideation Contest (BETA) page. You will have the opportunity to join or apply to join any of the above groups.
