Racontr will be unveiled at Tribeca Hacks,  December 7-8

Racontr is now accepting email addresses to invite potential beta users to start working with the interactive platform: sign up at racontr.com. They are, however, giving the first hands-on opportunity to try the platform out to the participants of the Tribeca Hacks in New York City on December 7-8. This Hackathon, hosted by the Tribeca Film Institute,  is meant to provide tools for the participants to develop their own interactive project specifically on the Racontr platform.  There will be a review of the platform and breakdown sessions, in order to familiarize participants with this new technology to enable them to work independently. You can sign up for the Hackathon here, applications will only be accepted until November 18, 2013. Built on the interactive storytelling software, Djehouti, the creators of Racontr  call this new platform, “simply the next step toward our vision for an interactive digital world. ” The tantalizing copy describing the changes and improvements over the old platform include more features, improved ergonomics, new design, faster, leaner… deeper customization, scroll navigation (see this great example), mobile interactions, a whole new editing timeline… Samples on the racontr blog include interactive content using video, audio, images that come on and off the screen, parallax movement in and other navigational effects with image as buttons or toggles. Browse our professionally designed templates to find the style and navigation you like and just replace dummy content. You will be able sign up for free and create as many projects as you want. Initially, you’ll receive100Mb of hosting for your content. You’ll be rewarded additional hosting space by inviting your friends to join the community, and you can also purchase upgrades. There will also be Pro accounts with unlimited hosting, enhance features, training and 1to1 live support.
