Last year infographics were ‘en vogue’, popping up everywhere.  Just as popular this year is the constant bashing of them for bad graphic design and general pointlessness.  Over at the Atlantic, Megan McArdle takes an even bigger stab at the overflowing coffers of infographics stating that they’re worse than examples of bad design: They’re simply wrong.

The reservoir of this disease of erroneous infographics is internet marketers who dont care whether the information in their graphics is right … just so long as you link it.  As a Christmas present to, well, everyone, Im issuing a plea to bloggers to help stop this plague in its track.
