Interactive Visualization of Earthquakes since 1900

One enterprising VizWorld reader sent me a link to a nice Google Mashup of USGS Earthquake data, cataloging every major quake of the last century.

The data is originally from USGS and was made available by someone as a spreadsheet. I updated it with information from Wikipedia, especially on 2010 and 2011 earthquakes. I also added country and continent information and several Wikipedia links. The updated data is also available as spreadsheet on Google docs.

Daily Viz from Visual Loop – 18/03/2011

Our last selection of the week kicks off with the amazing History of Science Fiction, another great work from Ward Shelley, followed by the equally great Harry Potter Facts Revealed, by Wayne Dorrington. My Space made another entertaining infographic, this time about “The Fast and the Furious” movie franchise, and then we take a look at The Present and Future of Music, as well as inside Eminem’s Mind, from 3GM and again from MySpace.
