LG set to lead the global 3D TV market

The LG LX9500 is the world’s first Full LED 3-D TV. The 55-inch model utilizes 1,200 LEDs, and 480 Hz refresh rate. The body of the LX9500 has a depth of just 22.3mm and also has a slim 16mm bezel. To achieve the 3-D effect, the LX9500 utilizes shutter glass technology.

But that is not all. LG is the No. 2 maker of televisions in the world. They see the growing demand for 3-D TVs and want to lead the way. In fact, in a recent press release they said:

LG is committed to securing a dominant position in this fast growing market expected to surpass 80 million units by 2014, and aiming to achieve 25 percent share of 3D market in 2010.
