BBC’s A History of the World in Objects

The BBC and the British History Museum have an interactive infographic on their website called “A History Of The World” where you can slide forward and backwards through time and view pictures and information about important objects of the period.

A History of the World is a partnership between the BBC and the British Museum that focuses on world history, involving collaborations between teams across the BBC, and schools, museums and audiences across the UK. The project focuses on the things we have made, from flint to mobile phone.

They have objects from as far back as 2 Million BC to modern times, and even allow you to submit your own objects.
