ExPreview has information from Cebit about a new AMD Radeon build from ASUS that combines a pair of Radeon HD5870’s into what they are calling the ‘HD5970 Ares” card.

Just as we reported, the power supply of this card is realized by 8pin+8pin+6pin power connector which supports up to 450W.

Powered by two Radeon HD 5870 graphics engines running at 850MHz, the card features 3200 stream processors, and 4GB of GDDR5 memory running at 4800MHz.

A limited run (maybe only 1000 units worldwide), it’s expected to cost upwards of 1000 € .  What does that get you?  3dMark Vantage Extreme gives it a X14416 score, pretty impressive but not enough to get into the Top 20.
