VRay users can check out the new collection of shaders for Maya, created by Paul Markowski Dreisen and Oilver. In addition to the shaders, you can download a MEL script that can convert 3dsMax materials into VRay Shaders suitable for Maya.

I’m using Maya 2011. I downloaded the script,shaders and texture and put them all in their proper places. Only problem is when I open the script to view the shaders, there is no image. Just the names and import. I refresh and nothing happens.

I encountered this issue using maya 2009 x64 as well. It’s a easy fix. All you need to do is navigate to the folder where the shaders are stored and in each subfolder, you’ll need to convert the .jpg preview swatches into .png whilst retaing the filenames.

I am using V-RAY 2 for Maya and lots of materials are build only for 3DS MAX.

I’ve installed vray 2.0 (in maya 2012) a week ago. Now i’ve downloaded this shaders… please help me!!! how do I installed them? I’m a noob in the vray for maya!!
