ProjectionDesign will be at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna demonstrating their new FL32 wuxga medical projector, the first solid-state projector tailored specifically to the medical market.

Making its worldwide debut at ECR will be projectiondesign’s new FL32 wuxga medical, the company’s first solid-state light-source projector to be tailored specifically to the requirements of the medical market. Fully compliant with DICOM clinical review standards, the new projector offers all the expected benefits of projectiondesign’s RealLED™ technology – including ultra-low power consumption, low cost of ownership, and up to 100,000 hours of operational life, making the projector virtually maintenance free!

But that’s not all, in addition (and perhaps even more interestingly) they will be showing off their new ProNet asset-management software system.  ProNet enables remote monitoring and control (including automatic calibration!) of any number of displays.

projectiondesign® brings large-format medical displays to ECR 2010

New projection products designed specifically for high performance medical imaging

Fredrikstad, Norway, 18 February 2010 – Reaffirming its commitment to the market for audiovisual technology in medical applications, Norway’s projectiondesign® is to exhibit at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) for the first time in 2010. Show visitors are welcome to see projectiondesign in Exhibition Hall Expo E on Booth No 566 (lower level).

Also on show in Vienna will be projectiondesign’s new F22 wuxga medical. The F22 wuxga medical offers the same medical-market benefits – including DICOM compliance, and pre-loaded medical calibration settings. These are all contained within the projector’s small, stylish, industrially designed and unobtrusive cabinet enclosure.

Running ‘in the background’ – but just as important – will be version 2.0 of projectiondesign’s ProNet asset-management software system, which offers remote monitoring and control of multiple projectors including automated calibration of any number of displays.

Anders Løkke, International Marketing & Communications Manager at projectiondesign, explains: “projectiondesign recognises the need to develop projectors with characteristics specifically designed for medical applications. The latest incarnations of this programme are the FL32 medical and the F22 medical, both of which offer high resolution images to ensure optimum performance and display accuracy, along with full DICOM compliance and complete compatibility with PACS systems workflows.

“Exhibiting at an event like ECR gives us the chance to bring these products to the market and showcase our latest developments not just to our existing customers in the medical marketplace, but also to suppliers of PACS systems demonstrating how easy it is to incorporate our visualisation technology into their designs.”

And Løkke concludes: “With proven low cost of ownership, broad range of options, complete compliance with DICOM standards and the high resolution, colour consistency and remote management options associated with projectiondesign, we believe our latest ‘medical’ projectors offer a tailor-made visualisation solution that is second to none. We look forward to meeting customers old and new at ECR in Vienna next month!”

Running at the Austria Center, Vienna from 4-8 March 2010 (the Expo begins 5 March), ECR is organized by the European Society of Radiology (ESR), an apolitical, non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting and coordinating the scientific, philanthropic, intellectual and professional activities of Radiology in all European countries. The ESR has more than 45,000 members, and the ECR Expo is expected to attract over 18,000 of these.
