f80-projectiondesignThe new F80 1080 DLP projector from projectiondesign will be demonstrated for the first time at the upcoming Virtual Efficiency Congress in Germany (November 5-6), in a stereo visualization configuration using embedded INFINITEC wavelength multiplex imaging filter technology.  Basically, it’s a fancy way of saying it will be displaying passive stereo 3D images perfect for bright large-screen environments and viewable from any angle.

“We’re delighted to be involved in the Virtual Efficiency Congress, as it gives us a chance to deliver a hands-on and immersive presentation of some of the world’s leading Virtual Reality applications,” comments Løkke. “These cover fields as diverse as mechanical engineering, automotive, financial, consumer goods, medicine, textile techniques, communication and movie-making – all areas in which we are already very successful and with some of our trusted key partners.”

projectiondesign® brings reality to first Virtual Efficiency Congress

Fredrikstad, Norway, 3 November 2009 – Norway’s projectiondesign® is jointly sponsoring the first Virtual Efficiency Congress being held at SpOrt Stuttgart in Germany between 5-6 November, 2009.
The event will see the first ever demonstration of the company’s flagship three-chip F80 1080 DLP® projectors in a stereo visualization configuration, using embedded INFITEC wavelength multiplex imaging filter technology.

The result will be outstanding passive stereoscopic 3D images and highly consistent, accurate and comfortable viewing from any angle.  This type of configuration is perfect for bright, large-screen viewing in a range of environments such as VR analysis, museums, CAVEs and large room presentations.

The F80 incorporates projectiondesign’s new Advanced Color Optical Processing (ACOP) technology, offering sophisticated optical calibration for superior projected images.  It combines individual optical filters in the red, green and blue channels, an infinitely adjustable optical iris, and DynamicBlack™ functionality from Texas Instruments to give incredibly detailed, deeply saturated images without the loss of bit depth experienced when a system is calibrated electronically. The F80 series can be configured with a wide range of filter options, including filters for true REC709 and DCI/P3 colour gamut.

As part of the Congress’ education programme, Anders Løkke, International Marketing & Communications Manager at projectiondesign, will present an introduction to the company’s 3D stereo display technologies and their typical applications.

The Virtual Efficiency Congress combines workshops, exhibit areas and user conferences aimed at exploring new and existing uses of virtual reality technology. The event is run by the Virtual Dimension Center (VDC) in Fellbach, near Stuttgart, and projectiondesign is sponsoring the two-day event alongside stereo display specialist Infitec GmbH. Collaborating in the showcase will be software experts ICIDO GmbH, immersive systems integrator Imsys immersive systems GmbH & Co.KG and award-winning 3D creative design agency 3D Madness GmbH.
