Valentin Yovchev is a 20-year old freelance designer with a self-described passion for 3D modeling and Robots.  He took the time to channel his energies into converting an old Travant automobile into both an Autobot and a Decepticon transformer, and wrote the entire thing up for an exclusive “Making Of” here at VizWorld.

Since I was little, I was a fan of transformers, and the funny fact is that I started with 3d when I was 12 years old. For 8 years I’ve made alot of things but robots are my passion.  If you have watched transformers you’ve seen many cool awesome robots fighting but we see only new stuff, and since I’m little bit psycho I’ve decided to go even further.

I’ve started collecting reference photos of Trabants and first of all decided to model a Trabant like a 3D Mesh.  I’ve drawn in Photoshop a sketch with my tablet how a robot should look to use as a base (I draw like a 5 years old but I’ve sketched some ideas and mess um up little bit :)
