The threat of overpopulation of the Earth, leading to depleted food stores and other dire situations, has been discussed for a long time. But exactly how long? And is it even really something to worry about? A new website named overpopulationisamyth.com claims that no, it’s all just a madeup problem that comes from old data and bad math. They’ve got a fun infographic setting up the scenario, with more details on their site.

I find in reading those sites that say that population problems are a myth that their evidence is very sparse and inconclusive. Recently I read Book 1 of the free e-book series “In Search of Utopia” (http://andgulliverreturns.info), it blasts their lack of evidence relative to their calling overpopulation a myth. The book, actually the last half of the book, takes on the skeptics in global warming, overpopulation, lack of fresh water, lack of food, and other areas where people deny the evidence. I strongly suggest that anyone wanting to see the whole picture read the book, at least the last half.

@JustMe
“do the math”!… how about starting with showing the math! Texas would sure suck in this scenario.
Nice graphics, but this is a terribly un-scientific video by an anti-abortion organisation whose website is appallingly at odds with any genuine science. They would probably argue that evolution is a myth too (with a nice, jolly, but equally vacuous info-graphic!). I believe they call it ‘propaganda’.
Do some research people. Good grief….
