Another “must see” at the Display Week 2009 in San Antonio, Samsung is exhibiting 14.1inch and 31inch OLED TV panels.  Of note is the 31-inch panel which is the world’s first to features 1920×1080 (1080p) resolution, a contrast ratio of 1 million:1, a color gamut of over 100% NTSC, and only 8.9mm thick.  It uses a process called “Fine Metal Mask” technology (FMM).

Also, they will be demonstrating super-thin mobile panels, one having a thickness of 0.05mm (that’s 50 microns)with a resolution of 480×272.  Others are 4.82 inch and 12.1inch transparent, foldable, and ID card displays.
