NEC’s new Cinematic LCD Display

NEC is shopping around a new “cinematic” display the NEC CRV43, an interesting 43-inch curved display with a resolution of 2880×900.  That’s an aspect ratio of 32:10 (3.2:1).  It will be demo’ed at Infocomm in Orlando, FL and will retail for $7999 when it ships in July.

I’m a bit sad to see the vertical resolution is only 900 pixels, but 2880 wide in a curved display would be kinda nice to look at.
