Just wanted to let everyone know that the core technology behind Sun Shared Visualization, namely VirtualGL, is very much alive and well. I brought VirtualGL to Sun in 2004, and Sun sponsored my work on the project throughout the life of the Shared Visualization product. Since being laid off in January, I have been supporting VirtualGL as an independent contractor. I am actively seeking funded development and consulting opportunities for this technology.
