Sylvain Collange, Marc Daumas, David Defour and David Parello from Université de Perpignan have developed a function GPU simulator to simulate CUDA programs at the assembly language level (NVIDIA PTX ISA). The goal is to eventually provide 100% bit-accurate bug-for-bug compatibility with NVidia G80-based GPU’s and work directly with CUDA executables, requiring no recompilation or source modifications.
It’s still lacking several features, but is under active development.
