expeditionDIQuantum3D, makers of the ExpeditionDI military training simulator, have just rev’ed their hardware and now boast a 300% improvement in performance.  I can’t find any specifics, but the new system (the “T2e”) is billed as an upgrade to the previous Thermite 1300, which ran on an integrated graphics chip.  Swap that out with a new CPU and a new NVidia chip, and that’s easily 300% speedup.

“Immersive infantry training will be one of the most important initiatives moving forward for our armed forces. Air and ground vehicle crews have benefited from immersive training for decades. The Army and Marine Corps are concerned with providing timely and accessible training to their infantrymen, and ExpeditionDI is the industry’s only untethered, immersive training system that is capable of meeting these requirements by running a broad range of gaming and simulation software applications.
